Wahlburgers Wild opened Monday with unique dishes especially for Memphis, said chef Paul Wahlberg.
The new restaurant, the first of its kind, opened in the Bass Pro Observation Deck at 11 a.m. on Monday. He will have “fluid” hours to test the waters, Wahlberg said.
Wahlburgers Wild, in collaboration with the Bass Pro Shops of the Pyramid, is putting a twist on Wahlburgers, a burger chain with family heirlooms mixed with every meal, Wahlberg said.

Known for its burgers and gourmet shakes, Wahlburgers is present in 20 states, Canada and Germany. It is owned by the Wahlberg family, including brothers Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg, the chef at Wahlburgers establishments. The restaurant chain has been the subject of a reality TV series on A&E, which aired for 10 seasons and gave viewers a glimpse into the inner workings of the start and growth of the restaurant and the Wahlberg family.
The new location is the chain’s first restaurant in Tennessee and its first inside a Bass Pro Shop.
Wahlberg said the restaurant will have the usual Wahlburgers’ offerings and a few extras like venison chili (not served in other places) which includes venison bratwurst, jalapeÃ±o salsa, spicy honey sour cream. and hot tortillas.
Wahlberg said he was excited to see “how far Memphis will go” with its new location.
