Company Description: Carriage Services, Inc. is a provider of funeral and cemetery services and merchandise in the United States. The Company operates through two segments: Operation of Funeral Homes and Operation of Cemeteries. The Funeral Home Operations segment provides service business, which includes the sale of burial and cremation services and related merchandise, such as caskets and urns. It provides funeral services and products based on need (time of death) and pre-need (planned before death). The Cemetery Operations segment is engaged in the sale of interment rights in cemeteries, including burial grounds, lawn crypts, mausoleum spaces and niches; cemetery-related goods, such as memorial markers, outdoor burial containers and monuments; and services, such as burials, burials and installation of cemetery goods. It provides cemetery services and products in times of need and pre-need. The Society operates approximately 170 funeral homes in 26 states and more than 31 cemeteries in 11 states.
