Additionally, after a soft launch in August, the brand will officially open its first digital store on Tmall in China, a region it entered in July. Scotch & Soda CEO Frederick Lukoff said that despite the “challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the retail sector”, the company “continues to expand our sales network in retail globally, strengthening our footprint in markets where we already have a presence, as well as in key markets such as China, which we see as full of potential to reach new customers and introduce them to our brand.

In Europe, the new stores include a new 1,400 square foot store in the Saint Germain district, the brand’s first location on the Left Bank, and a second store in Madrid’s historic Salamanca district that will open by the next month. end of October. As of January, Scotch & Soda has opened 34 physical stores and 27 in-store stores, and along with the new stores and stores, this will bring the brand’s total retail and franchise portfolio to 249 stores and 280 in-store stores. globally by the end of the year.

All facades will feature the brand’s new logo unveiled in March and the Free Spirit design which includes warm colors and clean design cues as well as durable elements such as LED lighting, FSC-certified wood herringbone parquet and hangers made from recycled materials.

When it comes to its category offerings, Scotch & Soda will expand its holiday and spring assortment by adding three new bag styles, a faux leather reporter and shoulder strap model and a recycled nylon foldable tote, which will be available exclusively. in its own and franchise stores and online for the first season. It is also expanding its line of Barfly fragrances to new categories, including home and travel formats, as well as gift sets.

To support this expansion, the brand will open a 296,000 square foot warehouse in Hoofddorp, on the outskirts of Amsterdam, in the spring. It will include a roof fully equipped with solar panels and automatically irrigated vertical gardens.
