OSWEGO – SUNY’s Oswego Business Resource Center will host a Small Business Training Course for those looking to develop or start a small business in Oswego County. Classes will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, September 13 to Friday, September 17 and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, September 20 to Tuesday, September 21 online through the SUNY Oswego Business Resource Center.
This certificate program provides training that covers topics such as writing a business plan, obtaining financing, accounting and tax matters, business insurance, legal aspects, marketing and other basic questions about starting a business. Graduates of the program can apply for up to $ 25,000 in low-interest financing to develop or start their business in Oswego County.
Online training is provided by counselors from the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), as well as other professionals in the region. The program is coordinated by the SUNY Oswego Business Resource Center, with promotional support and scholarships provided by the Town of Fulton Community Development Agency, the Town of Oswego Community Development Office and Operation Oswego County.
