Christkindlmarket mugs are back – and this year’s collection features the Chicago skyline

CHICAGO – Christkindlmarket is back this winter – just like its beloved collectible mugs.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Christkindlmarket, as well as its comeback after not taking place in person last year due to the pandemic. The 2021 mug comes in the form of a flute and features a detailed market scene and the Chicago skyline.

Its Peppermint the Penguin mug, dedicated to non-alcoholic drinks, returns with a revisited design to celebrate the anniversary.

You can order the 2021 Souvenir Mug online for $ 7.00. Shipping will begin on November 25.

Christkindlmarket is also releasing its first ornament in what will become another annual tradition. It is an ornament in blown glass and hand painted from Europe. You can order it online for $ 35.

The gift boxes that were launched last year during the virtual holiday market are also back. This year, customers can choose from four types of boxes, including ornament, mugs, and vendor gifts. Gift boxes cost between $ 49.99 and $ 99.99.

Fans will also be able to purchase the mugs and ornaments when the market returns on November 19.

The market runs from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Sunday and 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday through Saturday through December 24 at Daley Plaza, 50 W. Washington St.

Christkindlmarket Wrigleyville will also return to Gallagher Way, 3635 N. Clark St.

Updates are on the Christkindlmarket Chicago Facebook page.
